Silver Holographic Paper,
(stash)

I then used Pink Glitter Card

New Challenge #68 at Glitter n Sparkle

Hello everyone
Yes it's that time of week again, Sunday is here.
Its been a very waiting week,
I'm waiting for my Nephew to make his appearance,
but he seems to be taking his time.

So here is my card for this week
(I like to think that it is the younger brother
of that little green man we all know!):-

The Theme at Glitter n
Sparkle is:-
Stitching Real or Faux

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Fitztown who are offering
3 Images from their store

Scribbles Designs who are offering
3 Images from their store

Sassy Studios who are offering
4 Images from their store

Eureka Stamps who are offering
5 Images from their store

My project for this week is:-

Brr Yodi digi stamp
from Scribbles Designs (one of our sponsors)

For my base card I used a pre-cut White Square
Swing Card.

I then used some Black/White Crosshatch Paper,
(stash)
which I had in my scrap box.
I cut it into 1 inch Strips to fit around the
outside frame of the card.
I then used a 2 inch strip of Black Matte Paper
(stash)
which was also in my scrap box,
and cut to fit the Right hand edge of the
back face of the card.
Using some Black Pearlised Paper
(Ross)
cut out 2 Squares,
to fit the Swing Centre front and back.

I then coloured in my Image using
my Promarker Pens.
And cut it to fit inside the Black Square.

For my sentiment I thought I would choose
a Quote from Yoda (Starwars),
which would go with a Happy Birthday for a Male.
I then typed it out using
Troutkings BTN font in blue.
Which I then cut to fit inside the
remaining Black Square.

For my stitching,
I did Faux around my Digi image
with Promaker Cornflower.
And I Pierced 2 rows in 5mm intervals
over the 2 backing papers,
and using 1 thread of Light Blue
(DMC 813) Embroidery Tread,
Criss-crossed it all the way down the pierced holes.

WO Cupcake Tower digi stamp
from Bugaboo (one of our sponsors)

For my base card I used a piece of A4 White Card
(stash)
which I folded in half and cut to make a Square.

I then used some Brown Cupcake Paper
(stash)
which I cut to fit my card,
and then using the middle
Rectangle Parenthesis 2 (5 pk)
(X-Cut)
Die-Cut out a 'Window' in the paper.

Using some Bronze Pearlised Paper
(stash)
I cut a triangle to fit over one corner of my card,
and also Die-Cut out a circle,
using 2nd smallest Framelit Circles (8 pk)
(Sizzix)

I then coloured in my Image using
my Promarker Pens.
And then cut a square big enough
to fit behind my 'window'.

For my sentiment I used the
Birthday Cake Tag digi stamp
from Bugaboo (one of our sponsors).
Which I coloured in with my
Promarkers, and Die-Cut out using
the largest Circle from the
Framelits Basic Shapes Pack
(Sizzix),
which I then glued to the Bronze Circle.

For my finishing touches
I wrapped a length of the 30mm White Lace
(Boyes, Haberdashery)
around the corner of the card
on top of the Bronze paper.
Then handmade a Bow
from the same lace and placed it
at the corner of the 'Window'.

In a triangle around the Bronze paper
I added 9 Iridescent Coffee
3mm Flat Back Rhinestone Glitter Gems,
And in the middle of them put 1 Bronze

New Challenge #66 at Glitter n Sparkle

Happy New Year,
I would like to wish everyone all the best
for 2014.
May you all have fabulous craft projects this year.
I was a truly good girl this year and stayed in
and played with all my new carding stuff for New Year.

Well on with this weeks card :-

the Theme at Glitter n Sparkle is:-
Anything Goes

Our sponsors this week are:-

Digi Darla who are offering
5 images from their store

The Stamping Chef who are offering
3 images from their store

Patties Creations who are offering

2 images for their store

Flourish with a Bling who are offering
an AUD $12 gift certificate for their store

My project for this week is:

Dotty Birthday digi stamp
from The Stamping Chef (one of our sponsors).

For my Base Card I used
Pre-cut Square Scalloped Edged Card
(Jellybean Crafts).

I then used Black Party Balloon
Backing Paper (stash),
and using my Scalloped Edge Punch
(X-Cut) I punched all 4 sides.

I then coloured in my digi image
in using my Promarker Pens.
Then die-cut her out with the
Large Scalloped Square Nesties
(X-Cut).

For my sentiment I used a 'Birthday Girl'
clear stamp
(All B Designs - free from Crafts Beautiful)
using a technique discovered by accident over christmas.
First I pressed the 'Girl' part of the clear stamp
in my Red Ink Pad (Docrafts Artiste Ink Pad),
Then without using or cleaning it,
I lightly pressed the whole stamp in
my Tuxedo Black Ink Pad (Memento).
Then stamped it onto my card, as you can see
the red and black inks mix and leave a pretty effect.

I then added a piece of Red Iridescent Ribbon (stash),
which I glued on, and then cut the top and bottom
to fit the scalloped edge.
Then I handmade a Red Organza Ribbon Bow (stash).
Put 4 Red/White Polka Dot Candies on
(Candi, Cardwork Crafts).

For my finishing touches I used
Red Glitter on her Bow and Ribbons in her hair,
and on the Bows and Ribbons of the presents
I used Baby Pink Glitter and Plum Purple Glitter
(all are Craft Planet Sparkling Glitters).

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges :-
