New Challenge #125 at Glitter N Sparkle

Hello again
Well I do seem to be trying a lot of new techniques out recently,
so maybe my mojo is making a comeback after disappearing for a while
( probably due to RL stress)

This weeks card as you will see is a lovely little CAS one.
Which I have given to my other half,
just to remind him that we will get through everything
together no matter what life throws our way.

The Theme at
Gems And Glitter

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Bugaboo Digi Stamps who are offering
7 Images from their store.

Stitchy Bear Stamps who are offering
$10 Gift Certificate from their store.

My Project this
week is:-

Right Beside You Silhouette Digi Stamp
from Bugaboo Stamps
(our sponsor)

To begin with I used an A4 Sheet of Black Card
(stash)
which I folded in Half and cut to make
a Square Base Card
(mine is 11.5cm Square).

I then printed the Image
  on White DC Paper
and cut it out.
Because of the Image design
I realised I didn't need to do much to it.

So to finish off I used Holographic Black Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
on the Swing .
And 2mm Black Flat-backed Rhinestones
(stash)

for the Dots after the words.

I'd like to enter this Card in the

Midway Post Challenge #30 at Open-Minded Crafting

Hello again
to another beautiful Saturday.
Well this week has certainly been a trying but interesting one.
Lets just say I've very glad I have my crafting to turn to,
otherwise I am quite sure my sanity would have departed along time ago.

My darling partner has been called to work on his days off to cover
for his counterparts holiday so that comes to nearly 2 weeks without a break.
So not many hugs going around as you can imagine.
(And with things going the way they are in my life at the moment I
need all the hugs I can get.)

On a positive note though I might be accepted on a
Part-time Training Course to help me get back to work,
albeit working from home due to my disabilities.

Yet again it is the halfway point of our Challenge
over at Open-Minded Crafting,
and I am here sharing my Inspiration Card with you all.
I wanted to try something this week that I
have admired before but never done,
a Spinner Card

Our Sponsors are:-

A Day For Daisies who are offering
3 Images.

Jessica Weible Illustrations who is offering

Sentimental Susan who is offering

My Project for this
week is:-
Over The Rainbow Digi Stamp
(one of our sponsors)

To begin with I chose a 17cm Square White Card
(stash)
I covered the entire of the front of the Card with
Rainbows AquaBlue Digital Paper
(Happy Hearts Studio - Brighter Days)
And to make the Window aperture in the Card
I used the Large Plain Die from the
 Framelit Ovals Collection
(Stampin' Up!)

Then using Aqua Blue Paper
(stash)
I Die -cut out a Frame for the Window
using the Large Scalloped Die and the 2nd Largest Plain Die.

Next I printed the Image off twice,

one of them a reverse of the other.
I coloured the Image
using my Promarker Pens.

                                                           Child -            Vanilla (Skin)

                                                                                   Satin (Skin)
                                                                                   Blush (Cheeks)
                                                                                   Sandstone (Hair)
                                                                                   Caramel (Hair)
                                                                                   Duck Egg (Romper Suit)
                                                                                   Cool Aqua (Romper Suit)
                                                                                   Cool Grey 1 (Wings)
                                                           Rainbow -      Poppy
                                                                                   Yellow
                                                                                   Honeycomb
                                                                                   Grass
                                                                                   Cyan
                                                                                   Amethyst
                                                           Cloud -           Cool Grey 1
                                                                                   Cool Grey 3
                                                           Birds -            Sandstone
                                                                                   Caramel
                                                                                   Cococa

Once both Images had been Fussy Cut out,

I placed them both together with a length of
White Thread down the middle
(so it can spin)
and attached it to the 'Window'.

For the Inside of the Card I started by covering it with the
Aqua Blue Paper.
Then using White Cloud Aqua Digital Paper
(Happy Hearts Studio - Brighter Days)
I Die Cut out 2 Scalloped Ovals,
one with the center removed.

For the Sentiment I use Psalm 127:3
which I hold very dear to me,
as I do truly believe that
'Children are a gift from the Lord'.

This was printed out on White DC Paper
and Die-cut out with the 2nd Plain Oval Die,
then edged with the Cyan Promarker.

I added a few embellishments just to finish it all off.
All around the Outside edge and Inside of the Card,
and also around the Outside Oval Window
I used Rainbow Edging Strip Peel Offs
(Range)
Then I added a Rainbow Braid Ribbon
(Boyes Haberdashery)
across the bottom of the Card.
I also added Holographic White Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
to the Wings, on both sides.
And finally I added two 1cm
Deep Aqua Blue Chipped Rhinestones
(stash)
to the top corners.

New Challenge #124 at Glitter N Sparkle

So Sorry,
I had to take a week off last week
for personal reasons,
both Emotional and Health.

Glad to say that I'm feeling slightly better now,
than I have done in quite a few days.
Just need to catch up on my sleep and fingers crossed
I should feel back to normal,
(well normal for me lol).

So this week I decided to follow another Sketch,
so hope you like the end result.

The Image this week reminded me of when I was a girl
living in Fife, Scotland,
playing with my kitten Smokey.
As you can imagine he was a fluffy grey kitten with
a pink nose.
And he really did love chasing the Marbles,
especially downstairs while someone was walking up them.

Gems And Glitter

Our Sponsor this week is:-

Aurora Wings who is offering
$10 Gift Certificate from her store.

My Project this
week is:-

Windows To The Soul (Innocent) Digi Stamp
from Aurora Wings
(our sponsor)

To begin with I used an A4 Sheet of Cream Card
(stash)
which I folded in Half and cut to make
a 20 x 13cm Base Card.
Next I decided all the Papers and Card
I was going to use would be from my Scrap Pile
(and trust me like any crafter knows this is huge lol).
So I cut a 13 x 10cm piece of
Wood Grain Embossed Card
(stash),
then a 12.5 x 10.5cm piece of
Embossed Bark Effect Bronze Paper
(stash)
and finally a 11 x 8cm piece of
Glitter Polka Dot Paper
(Safari Kids - Matstack with Glitter)

Then I printed my Image
  on White DC Paper
and coloured it in
using my Promarker Pens

                                                           Girl -         Vanilla (Skin)
                                                                              Satin (Skin)
                                                                              Blush (Cheeks)
                                                                              Dusky Rose (Lips)
                                                                              Meadow Green (Eyes)
                                                                              Apple (Eyes)

                                                                              Cinnamon (Hair + Dress)
                                                                              Cocoa ( Hair +Dress)
                                                                              Burnt Sienna (Hair)
                                                                              Shale (Hair)
                                                                              Spice (Dress + Bows)
                                                           Cat -          Dusky Rose (Nose)
                                                                              Apple (Eyes)
                                                                              Spice (Bow)
                                                                              Cool Grey 1 (Fur)
                                                                              Cool Grey 2 (Fur)
                                                                              Cool Grey 3 (Fur)
                                                           Marbles -  Meadow Green

Because I wanted to  try and attempt a Vintage look,
I distressed all the Cut Rectangles with
Sandpaper.
Then over the top I used Distress Inks,
for the Cream Base Card and the Image I used
Antique Linen Ink.
For the Wood Effect Card I used
Walnut Stain.
And on the Bronze and Polka Dot Paper I used
Vintage Photo.
(All Distress Inks - Tim Holtz).

I used a 2cm Cream Lace to wrap around the
Wood Card at the Back,
and for the Front a 1cm Brown Satin Ribbon,
(both from Boyes Haberdashery)
and to make the Bow I folded the little scrap of ribbon left
and joined it in the Middle with a
Bronzed Brad with Brown Gem
(stash)

To finish off I used Holographic Copper Glitter
on the Collar of the Girls Dress,
and Penny Copper Glitter
on both the Cat and the Girl's Bows
(both from Glitter Magic).

For the Marbles I used a selection of
4mm, 3mm, 2mm Crystal Flat-backed Rhinestones
(stash)
and 1 Crystal Dew Drop at the Front
(stash).

Hi everyone,
Well another day another week,
guess time marches on regardless.
Hope everyone has had a good start to the new month,
and so far so good for me as well
(fingers crossed).

So again it is the halfway point of our Challenge
over at Open-Minded Crafting,
and I am here sharing my Inspiration Card with you all.
I am using a brilliant new (to me) sponsor,
who I just know is swiftly going to
become another one of my firm favorites

The Theme at
NO Pink and NO Red

Our Sponsors this week are:-

Bugaboo Stamps who are offering
7 Images.

Faery Ink who is offering
3 Images.

Oak Pond Creations who are offering
3 Images.

The Fantasy Art of Ronne P Barton who are offering

2 Images.

My Project for this
week is:-
Moon Song Fairy Digi Stamp
(one of our sponsors)

To make the Base Card with used an A4 sheet of  White Card
(stash)
which I folded in half to make a Rectangle Base Card.
Then using the 10.8cm Circle Die
(all the Circle Dies are from Sizzix)
cut it on the fold.

Using Pearlised Purple Card
(Ross Papers)
I cut out 2 Scalloped Circle Frame Creatable Die
(Marianne Designs).
1 for the Base and the other for the Front.

Next I printed the Image off 4 times.
Twice on White DC Paper,
Once on a scrap of Grey/Cream Marble Paper
(stash)
And once on a scrap of Purple Vellum Paper
(stash)
On one of the White Paper images
I coloured the Image
using my Promarker Pens.

                                                           Skin -            Vanilla

                                                                                  Satin
                                                                                  Dusky Pink (Cheeks)
                                                                                  Lavender (Eyes)
                                                                                  Maroon (Lips)
                                                           Hair -            Lavender
                                                                                  Cool Grey 1
                                                                                  Cool Grey 2
                                                                                  Cool Grey 3
                                                                                  Cool Grey 4
                                                           Skirt -           Lavender
                                                                                  Lilac
                                                                                  Amethyst
                                                           Belt -             Slate
                                                           Pan Pipes -   Sandstone
                                                                                  Cocoa
                                                                                  Shale

I cut the Moon out of the Marble Paper,

and the Wings out of the Purple Vellum,
and the coloured Fairy out.

With the other printed Image I Die Cut it out

using the 9.5cm Circle Die
and placed it on the Front of the Card.
Then rubbed the bottom half of the circle
with Dark Purple Decorate Chalk
(Dovecraft)
Then added the Moon and Wings to the Image.
I wanted to try to do something different so
on the bottom Image Vest I stuck some
Fringed Purple/Silver Lace
(Boyes Haberdashery)
and fussy cut out the Fairy's top
on the other Image.
I added some Iridescent Mauve Pink Glitter
(Glitter Magic)
to her hair.
And to her Belt I added a 4mm Mid Purple Pearl,
and two 3mm Light Purple Pearls
(Anita's).

For the base of the card
I Die-cut out  a 6.4cm Circle from Pearlised White Paper
(Ross Papers)
and a 5.1cm Circle from Pearlised Purple Card.
Then cutting both circles in half.

Also with the Pearlised White Paper
I Die-cut out the Swirl Circle and
2 of the Flowers
(Leane Creatief Lea'bilities)
and used Pearlised Purple Card for the other 2 Flower Dies.
On all the Pearlised White Paper
I dusted it all with the Dark Purple Chalk.

For the Sentiment I used the 'Dream' stamp
from the Birdcage Set
(Clarity Stamps)
with Whisper White Ink
(Stampin' Up!)

And for my Final touch I added 4mm Mid Purple Pearls
to the Center of each Flower.
And made a row of the 3mm Light Purple Pearls
for the front of the card to rest against.

I would like to enter this card in

New Challenge #122 at Glitter N Sparkle

And yet again
the hand of fate has struck.

Part of me is say thank goodness this month is finally over,
as most of it has been so hard and upsetting.
We unfortunately have had another death in the family,
my Partners father,
who passed away yesterday morning.

Hence this posting being a day late,
but I am sure that you will all understand.

So this week's card is asking for some peace, serenity
and a new start if at all possible.
Also I loved the look of the Sketch over at Ike's World.

The Theme at
Anything Goes

                                                                              Dusky Rose

Using a Black Gel Pen to make the
Lines and Dots on the Flowers,
so they matched the Background Paper.
For some Sparkle I dusted the
Comb, Eyebrows, Spines and Tail

(Glitter Magic).
